Rad Air has been in business in the Cleveland, Ohio area since 1975 and is a locally owned and family operated.

In 1975 Rad Air started as a Radiator and Air Conditioning repair shop in Parma Heights (hence the name Rad - Air). In 1986 the company expanded into other high – tech areas of service and proceeded to become specialists in other aspects of vehicle services. Shortly thereafter, the Rad Air name was updated to its present form. Currently there are eight locations in the Cleveland / Akron, Ohio area.

All Rad Air complete Car Care facilities specialize in the following aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance:

• ABS Brake Systems / Brakes: We specialize in all aspects of brake system repairs. We have all of the factory scanners and diagnostic equipment to repair any electrical problem you might have with ABS systems and brakes on your vehicle. We have both on the car and off the car rotor lathes / resurfacing equipment and brake drum resurfacing equipment.

• Driveability / Tune - Up: We have the equipment and knowledge to analyze, diagnose and repair all driveability problems on most vehicles. A driveability problem is that miss, surge, stalling or anything that makes your vehicle not run just right or get poor fuel economy; at times the check engine light will be illuminated indicating a problem. We have the ability to repair any and all "CHECK ENGINE" or “SERVICE ENGINE SOON” light failures and repairs. We also specialize in those intermittent / occasional driveability problems. We offer complete fuel injection services including cleaning of injectors and air induction systems along with fuel line and fuel tank repairs.

• Electrical / Electronic Repairs: We specialize in tracing down and repairing all types of electrical failures including electronic fuel injection systems, lighting and all vehicle control and operating circuits.

• E-Check failure repairs We have the equipment and knowledge to analyze diagnose and repair all E-Check failures.  

• Air Conditioning Systems: We specialize in all aspects of A/C repair including diagnosis of those hard to find leaks and compressor rebuilding and resealing. We weld, splice and repair lines and hoses along with condenser and evaporator reconditioning and welding. We also specialize in repairs of Automatic Climate Controls and dual climate controls, plus all aspects of interior heating and cooling system electrical circuits.

• Cooling / Radiator Systems: We specialize in all aspects of cooling system repairs including radiators, thermostats, water (coolant) pumps, head gaskets, intake gaskets, heater systems and heater cores. We weld, recondition and repair radiators, heaters, cylinder heads, intake manifolds and engine blocks.

• Fluid Services:  Along with performing all of the high tech repairs listed above, we also specialize in all areas of vehicle maintenance and perform all fluid exchange services for all vehicles. We specialize in and have the equipment to flush and exchange all fluids on the following vehicle sub-systems:
  • Cooling systems
  • ABS brake systems
  • Power Steering Systems
  • Transmissions and transmission oil coolers
    

Most vehicle manufacturers require complete vehicle fluid changes every 30,000 to 60,000 mile intervals to maintain your warranty and keep your vehicle in good operating condition.

• Tires / Suspension: We offer a complete line of tires and perform complete tire repairs and services including mounting and balancing. We also perform complete suspension services and alignments on passenger vehicles, SUV's and Light trucks and motor homes.
